It’s not about you!

It's not about you.

You weren’t put on earth to be remembered. Your purpose is far greater than your own personal fulfillment. It’s not about your family, your career, your ambitions, your dreams, your future.

It wasn’t by chance, fluke, luck, accident, coincidence or twist of fate that you exist, God willed you here for His purpose.

It is only through God that we discover our origin, ability, identity, meaning, importance, purpose, our destiny.

As Christians, we’ll never find it in tarot cards, fortunetellers, cults, astrologists, séances, and religious unbelievers.

Through your unwavering faith in Jesus Christ you will find your purpose, goal, meaning, ambition, function, role, your reason.

It’s about Him!

Jesus Christ, our Lord, God, Savior, master, our Father whom we worship through service, prayer, song, tithing, study, witnessing, ministry, in all that we do; when eating, drinking, sleeping, waking, playing, working, crying, and laughing, it’s all to His glory.

So, while it’s not about you, it was because of his love, comfort, kindness, mercy, compassion, long suffering, grace, and peace that God sent His son to die for you!

Meditate on Scripture

Jeremiah 29:11

"I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

The next time that you are tested by the circumstances in your life, think about this analogy. God is like a blacksimith and you are a lump of silver. The silver is vaulable just the way it is, but the blacksmith knows that if he can form it into something useful and beautiful, it will reach its full potential.

The same is true of God; He created us in His own image and expects to see the beauty in us shine.

Now, the blacksmith knows that in order to create a beautiful image, he must hold the silver over fiery hot flames. Like God's children that are placed in some pretty stressful situations. After the silver is heated, the blacksmith begins to mold and shape the object of his desire until he is able to see a reflection of himself.

As with God, he wants to see His image in us that reflects love, kindness, faithfulness, long suffering, and so much more, all the while, like the blacksmith, the Lord has got his hands on us the whole time. And when he gets us to the place he desires for us, He will get the glory and we will have peace.
